Design and Implementation of Secure Router Based on IPSec

In this paper we firstly introduce the IPSec protocols proposed by IETF. And then the principles of building a secure router using IPSec are presented. We also provide the architecture of the implementation of IPSec protocols, for the BQ2800/BQ5000 router designed by Golden Bridge Network Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University. In the end, the security properties of BQ2800/BQ5000 and the effects on the performance of the router are analyzed.
