Design of AGC and Servo System for Monopulse Guidance Radar

The function of AGC in monopulse radar receiver and its operational principle were described.The relationship between AGC circuit and servo-system was explained.Optimal match between AGC and servo-system could be obtained,and problems,such as tracking dithering and inadequate tracking speed,associated with AGC could be eliminated by adjusting parameters of AGC circuit.The relationship between time constant of AGC and servo-system was analyzed and discussed in particular.Issues to be taken into account in engineering applications were pointed out,which may serve as useful guidance for future work.
