A SNR Measurement Applied to the Downlink LAS-CDMA/AMC System

Channel quality measurement for AMC (Adaptive Modulation and Coding) system is studied. A simple SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) measurement scheme based on the channel estimation has been proposed for the downlink multi-user LAS-CDMA/AMC system. By COSSAP simulation, it has been verified that the AMC system used the scheme proposed in this paper has the similar throughput performance with that used the ideal SNR measurement. Thus the SNR measurement based on channel estimation is a simple and useful scheme for the downlink multi-user LAS-CDMA/AMC system.
