Study on modification of polyvinylidene fluoride membrane by blending glucose

With the additive polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP),the polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)/glucose(GC)blend microporous membranes were prepared for the first time by phase reverse method.The factors effecting on the structure and property of membrane such as the ratio of PVDF/GC,the weight of GC and the evaporation time were investigated.The water flux and porosity were studied.The results indicated that when the weight ratio of PVDF,GC and PVP come to 5:2:1,the evaporation time was 30 min,the membranes have great water flux and high porosity.
