Developments in Adaptive Equalization Algorithm Research

For solving the Inter-Symbol Interferences(ISI) problem in the modern communication systems,the qualities and fundaments of the adaptive equalization algorithm were detailed.Straightforward introduction was proposed for the main kinds of adaptive equalization such as LMS and RLS.Some key evaluation indexes in several main research fields including the Bit Error Rate,the convergence speed,the computational complexity and steady-state errors were analyzed.Combining the analysis results and the possibility of the practical application of the adaptive equalization algorithm,several important problems in future research on adaptive equalization algorithms were presented.
