Design and Implementation of a Network Isolator Based on S3C2440

GAP-a network data isolator without operating system is designed and implemented using SAMSUNG ARM9 chipset S3C2440 as its carrier and using SPI(Serial Peripheral Interface) as the means of data transmission and incorporating a self-defined data transfer protocol.System architecture and hardware and software implementation are described in detail with a highlight on the operational principle and internal workflow of the isolation system.Security of the data transfer protocol is analyzed.Isolators developed with the design approach effectively filter away non-authenticated data transferred between the internal network and the external network to ensure security of an intranet.
