Improving Performance of ZigBee Network by Using Piggyback

This paper describes an in-depth research on ZigBee protocol, which is one of the pivotal technology to construct LR-WPAN(Low Rate-Wireless Personal Area Network), its network layer is the most important part. AODVjr is a simple type algorithm of AODV, the network layer of ZigBee uses it to construct Ad hoc network, it is fit to establish mesh topology. After researching AODVjr thoroughly, this paper proposes a method of utilizing Piggyback ACK of internet to AODVjr of ZigBee, uses this scheme to construct wireless sensor network. The experiment proves it can reduce the algorithm's order of complexity, decrease the communication load, saves the battery energy, effectively enhances the overall performance of ZigBee network and has certain practical value.
