Applying Large Data-dictionary to Client/Server Environment

This paper introduces using cases and designing methods of large data-dictionary in client/server environment. Furthermore, a kind of user defined Inner Chinese IME was discussed finally, some Power Builder scripts are given out. The methods discussed here have many advantages such as easy to implementation, convenient for use, high performance. Methods introduced in this paper have been applied successfully to the large OLTP system named Tickets Sailing and Booking System of Chinese Railways.The system bases on multi-tier client/server architecture. ;;;
