The Design and Implementation of QAM Equalizer

Based on the analysis of equalization algorithm and the framework of an equalizer, how to choose an equalization algorithm and the implementation framework of an equalizer is pointed out. In this paper, CMA+DDLMS is used. A reasonable approximation and simplification of the algorithm as well as a logical optimization for implementation of FPGA are proposed. A good trade-off between better performance and less logical cells of FPGA is obtained.
