Mobile ad hoc network is a self-organizing and dynamically reconfigurable wireless network with the characteristics of limited resources and variable topology. These features lead to rerouting operation more frequent and consuming the limited resources.Overload nodes with congestion reduce the stability of routes,so severely degrade the performance of ad hoc networks. The mobility prediction and load balance can contribute to efficiently solving this problem. This paper proposes a Load Aware protocol based on Mobility Prediction(LAMP).LAMP evades congested nodes and uses mobility prediction mechanism to choose the most stable route to transmit data. The protocol improves the network performance by reducing the influence on routing stability caused by variable topology and overload nodes. The simulation results show that, compared with the protocols which only use mobility prediction,LAMP gets better performance in end to end delay and delivery rate of packets, and improves the network performance.
