Heterogeneous Database-to-Ontology Mapping Based on the Synonym Table

Ontology is the description of information at the semantic and knowledge levels.Changing other data presentation forms into ontology benefits data sharing and semantic deduction.Because most data in computer systems exist as relational databases now,research on the mapping between relational databases and ontology is very important.Based on an analysis of the single database-ontology mapping problem,this paper expands the Ghawi rules to contain more data models.Considering the problem of building ontology from heterogeneous homogeneous databases,this paper provides mapping rules based on the synonym table,and then realizes the mapping from the heterogeneous homogeneous database to ontology.
