New Type of Lifting Scheme and Its Application in Construction of Wavelets

As a new computational process,the known lifting scheme is used to decrease the complexity,but it cannot be used to construct wavelets efficiently.In this paper,we presented a new kind of lifting scheme,which was obtained by fractionating symmetric orthogonal wavelets into lifting steps.Therefore,the weakness mentioned above is overcome,and some examples are given to illustrate it.
