Advanced Motion Estimation Algorithm of Adaptive Rood Pattern Search

Motion estimation is a critical problem in video encoding,which directly affects the speed and quality of the encode.According to the motion vectors of the adjacent blocks,each frame of the sequences is divided into three regions.Then the different ways of the prediction methods and search strategies are used in different regions.An improved motion estimation algorithm is proposed.Experimental results show that the algorithm is better both at the image quality and the reduction of the number of search points.
