Principle and Realization of DDC Based on ISL5416

The principle and the application of digital down conversion based on software radio are described in this article. The structure and working process of programmable digital down conversion (DDC) chip ISL 5416 from Intersil Company are analyzed. Also with multi-channel correlative interferometer as the application background some research on the output data of digital down conversion at different band wide is done. This article presents a flexible way for realizing DDC with ISL5416 and provides a solution for alterable bandwide DDC in software radio.
