An Improved Algorithm for Network Topology Discovery

This paper first analyzes the inefficiency of the traditional Traceroute probing method based on ICMP and describes the details of the doubletree probing method.On this basis,this paper proposes an improved topology probing method by combining with the heuristic method.The experiment indicats that this algorithm can rapidly acquire accurate network topology,and efficiently reduce the network load.
