Intelligent scheduling software & its application in steelmaking and continuous casting

As it is difficult for large-scale iron and steel corporations to control the scheduling process in steelmaking and continuous casting production,a kind of scheduling software was developed to solve this problem based on the combinations of intelligent optimization method,expert system and case-based reasoning technology.The software had multiple functions,such as scheduling plan making,dynamic tracking and adjusting,and man-machine interaction,etc.The scheduling strategies,the structure and the function of the software were discussed in detail. The software has been applied successfully to a large-scale iron and steel corporation in China,and applying results have shown that this software has excellent capabilities and a promising application future in industries.
