Dunhuang,a thriving Silk Road oasis where crosscurrents of people and cultures were giving rise to one of the great marvels of Buddhist world,Under such specific historic and geological background,there are many precious cultural relics were preserved,the hidden library served as the best example.The discovery of Cave 17 also known as the Hidden Library is one of the most important academic discoveries in Modern times of China and directly give a birth of Dunhuang Studies.For a large quantity in number and complex content and quality of Dunhuang Manuscripts has been a great information resources for academic studies and at the same time it is a great challenge for academic circle to item and catalogue them.This article introduces project of Dunhuang Manuscripts digital Data Base and hoping that will be great convenience for Dunhuang Studies as soon as it has completed and published on web-site.
