Automatic Control System for Irrigation of Rice Based on PLC

In order to achieve water-saving irrigation and promoting rice growth,this paper presents an automatic control system for irrigation of rice based on PLC and configuration software.Hardware of the control system constituted by the background monitoring system,PLC,wireless oadio and various types of sensors,are used for the rice field data collection of water temperature,water level,soil moisture,in arder to realize the control of circulating water pumps,electromagnetic valve actuating device.The practice proved that the system could be conveniently and effectively used for the improvement of rice growth environment,which makes the field environment more suitable for rice crop growth,and achieves the purpose of improving the yield of rice and saving water.
