A study on scan line data compression in surface reconstruction

In surface reconstruction,due to high density of data obtained from laser scanner,they can not be suitable for surface reconstruction directly.In this paper,a method for data compressing algorithm according to the curvature variation of points in proposed,and realized in Matlab.The algorithm is simplert than other methods,and it can be easily understood and programmed.The principle the procedure are desfcribed in detail via application.
