Research on Test-Suite Minimization

This paper presented a formal description of the test-suite minimization problem,and then presented two new algorithms for test-suite minimization.Unlike other existing algorithms,minimization algorithms used test cost criteria,as well as the test coverage criteria,to minimized the test-suite.The objective of research is to promote the effectiveness of the test-suite minimization techniques.Finally,the paper presented the results of the empirical studies of these algorithms.The results show that this algorithms can significantly reduce the size and the cost of the test-suite for regression testing,and achieved higher effectiveness of minimization.
