The Data Compression for Database Building of Digital Library

Digital library uses morden information technology to make some absorption,collection,collation,storage and transmission(transmission to the reader) to absorb digital resources.Database technology is the core technology in the building of digital library.The digitized and storage of the mass of information resources in the database must go through the data compression stage.Data compression technology means to exclude information redundancy.In the situation that doesn't reduce the quality or does not destroy the original information,it can reduce the physical space occupied by the information.The purpose of data compression is to use as few as data expressions of information to save transmission and storage overhead.
