SOME PROBLEMS ON THE ORDER-REDUCTION OF LARGE-SCALE SYSTEMS BY AGGREGATION

Some basic algebraic relations in the order-reduction of linear time-invariant sys- tems by aggregation has been discussed.The conditions,which should be satisfied by the aggregating matrix K,and the method of construction of this matrix are established. The theoretically possible limit of the exact order-reducing method is shown.The fundamental properties of the system coefficient matrix F in the reduced model are proved,and the results obtained are applied specifically to the inspection of the“agg- regation method with the principle eigenvalues retained”.
