This article gives out a virtual restoration technique as the main method and hardware restoring as an assistant method in computer system maintenance based on the control and emulation lab's circumstances in opening and using: there are large number of computers in the lab, it has to manage lots of experiment tasks, and the students often mis-delete and mis-modify the applying-programs in the computers,so that it's hard to maintain all the computer systems. At last, the paper realizes the reducing function of the Integrative Rectek 8139 NIC without adding any new hardwares. In this way,Transforming NIC into reducing card can not only improve the security of computer systems but also reduce the difficulties of maintenance, and better effect is obtained.
