Disposal and analysis of on-line monitoring data for major hazard is a science,which converts original signal to obvious character signal.It is the base of condition monitoring and accident pre-warning.Discrete Fourier transforms and fast Fourier transforms were analyzed and compared in this thesis.The advantage,disadvantage and applicability of discrete Fourier transforms and fast Fourier transforms were discussed.Application result shows that fast Fourier transforms should be adopted in on-line monitoring system.
