The XML Information Description of a PROFIBUS-based ONC System

In view of the two problems of the field-bus system in interoperability and integration with internet,the method using XML is discussed in this paper.By introducing an ONC system based on PROFIBUS,the technique that utilizes XML to describe the information of devices and conditions is shown in detail.It is advantageous to promote the development of field-bus technologies.
