Experiments of effective storage limit of years of Pinus tabulaeformis and other common seeds of trees

In the light of needs of production, storage experiments of seeds of Pinus tabulaeformis and other 10 common afforestation and greening tree species were carried out under the condition of specific environment by using Caohekou tree seed warehouse of the forestry department of Liaoning province .The effective limit of years of seed vitality of trees was obtained through examination of many years;the relationship of water content, environmental temperature and sealed storage with seed storage life-span was summarized. All data in this paper had definite reference for ascertaining optimum technical combination, reducing the cost and increasing benefit during seed storage period.
