Improved 3D Model Retrieval PCA Preprocessing Algorithm

The uncertainty of the principal axis and its orientation which are produced by 3D Model Retrieval PCA preprocessing, are the main factors that affect the retrieval result. By analyzing the principium of PCA, a face mesh info weight was proposed based on the eigenvalue calculated by K-L Transform. The product of the weight and the eigenvalue was used to establish the axis. The multi-weight was used to ascertain its orientation. Both of them weakened the uncertainty. The experimental results show that it improves the consistency of axis’ unitary.
