A Grammatical Study on Restricted Meaning of Chinese Nouns

Based on a comprehensive investigation of more than 4,300 noun senses, a distinction criterionbetween the Free meaning and Unfree meaning is put forward, and their syntactic behaviors and semanticconstrains in sentences are also described in detail. The results indicate that there is close correlation betweenlexical meaning and its distribution.
