Simulative Static Variables on BREW Platform

Chen Cong-hua · Communications technology · 2009

BREW is a platform for mobile communications application developed by Qualcomm Co., and however it is constrained in using static variables thus not conducive to mobile applications portability across platforms. So the simulative static variable allocation mechanism is employed, and combined with C language pre-compiler technology, breaks the constraints in using static variables. The proposed technology in this paper could reduce the coupling degree between code modules, ensure the visibility of static variables in a single program file, and improve program performance of portability across platforms.
