TD-LMS based TD-SCDMA uplink receiver

Smart antenna is a key technology in TD-SCDMA system. At the beginning of this paper, the application of TD-LMS to uplink adaptive beam-forming process in TD-SCDMA system is investigated. Through BER (Bit Error Rate) comparison, it is found that wavelet transform based orthogonal matrix is better than DCT based orthogonal matrix. Then, finite precision performance is studied to verify the feasibility of the proposed wavelet-based algorithm. Simulation results and complexity analysis show that wavelet-based TD-LMS is an efficient algorithm to be used to adaptive beam-forming process aiming at a tradeoff between performance and complexity.
