Feeding mechanism design for automatic nail-making machine

Owing that the feeding process with manual wire feed-in should be executed under machine stoppage,the productivity of traditional nail-making machines is reduced.In addition,the short linear wire cannot be applied for nail-making.To resolve the problem,a novel feeding mechanism is designed for automatic nail-making machine.By developing a functional design method,the potential design alternatives are obtained.By employing such methods as multi-attribute decision-making and analytic hierarchy process for design option evaluation,an evaluation index system is established for feeding mechanism.In so doing,the optimal solution can be obtained based on reasonable index rating and option ranking.
