Study on adjacency-based algorithm of extracting stroke joint points

A thinning-based method for the extracting stroke joint points from handwritten Chinese character is presented.In most sig-nature algorithms,strokes are taken regard as study objects.For getting the stroke from handwritten precisely,the difficulty is how to obtain stroke joint points.In extracting the stroke joint points,frequently the some important joint points are lost and pseudo joint points are presented.A new adjacency-based algorithm of extracting joint points proposed can successfully solve these problems,the experi-mental results show that the proposed method is effective.
