In order to present a routing protocol to suit for the actual network environment of Ad Hoc,the basic principle and limitation of Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector(AODV) are analyzed and the existed three improved protocols,AOZDV(enhanced AODV protocol based on Zone routing),DOA(hierarchical routing protocol based on AODV and DSR) and SAODV(Stable enhancement for AODV Routing Protocol),are introduced in this paper.Their respective superiority and suitable scene are also compared each other.NS2 simulation results show that AOZDV is suitable for a frequent dynamic topology;DOA has demonstrated its superiority and reduced the route load greatly in the large-scale network;SAODV provides a stable route, and improves the successful packets delivery ratio.
