Research and Implementation of a High-Performance I/O Interface for the Storage Subsystem of Stream Media Servers

With the analysis of the characteristics of stream media applications and embedded systems, this paper presents a high-performance I/O interface solution to the storage subsystem of stream media servers based on the embedded Linux. Memory management, DMA control and file systems are improved and optimized, and the system performance test and analysis are given.
