Genetic Diversity Analysis of Standard Varieties in Rice DUS Testing
Yan Wu · Journal of Jinling Institute of Technology · 2012
The genetic diversity among 45 standard varieties in rice DUS testing is analyzed by 44 molecular markers of good polymorphism to provide genetic information in rice varieties.44 pairs of primers are amplified into 233 alleles. Each pair of primer can be amplified into 2~13 alleles with 5.3 alleles on average. The polymorphism information content(PIC) among the 44 pairs of primers reaches 0.18~0.88,with the average of 0.58.Clustering analysis shows that these varieties can be clustered into 2 large groups.Groups are structured according to plant height and geographical regions. This study shows the standard varieties in rice DUS testing possess better genetic diversity, and can provide a reference for the research on rice DUS testing technology.
