Inadequacy and Demand:the Grammatical Functions of Punctuation Marks

As an integral part of written Chinese,punctuation marks are widely used.Punctuation marks are closely related to grammar,and have important grammatical functions.But the existing punctuation marks are not very systematic in their grammatical functions,and people have not paid enough attention to them so far.This situation does not meet the demand of the Chinese information processing and the modernization of Chinese.So we should strengthen the study of the grammatical functions of punctuation marks so as to build a complete grammar-based scientific system of punctuation marks.
