LI Yu-ping · Journal of Henan University of Science & Technology · 2009

Since Ma's Gramma(《马氏文通》),there is a misunderstanding that ancient Chinese scholar had not a clear idea about disyllabic words in academe. There were about 105 pieces of annotations added by Du Zichun to 104 disyllabic words in Zhouli, and which is about 4% of Zhengxuan's annotations to disyllabic words inZhouli. This dissertation makes the first special exploration to the annotations by ancient Chinese scholar.Based on Du Zichun's annotations in Donghan dynasty to Zhouli, and by means of testing, classified description, statistical analysis and induction, the author argues that Du Zichun had a clear idea about disyllabic words, who had made initiative contribution to distincting disyllabic word from monosyllabic word in the contents, forms and ways of annotations, whose opinions had produced a great impact on ZhengXuan which exsist in ZhouLiZhu(zhengxuan's annotations to Zhouli).
