The improvement of Snort intrusion detection system

The Snort principles are analysed.Separating multimedia data from network flow is proposed.Meanwhile the different processing method for the security request in different environment are adopted in order to improve the whole detection efficiency of Snort.Two methods for processing multimedia data are designed,one is pass,another is detecting in its respective media types.These ways can aim at multimedia data from server or client by the parameter which user input.At last,Snort′s improvement effect under the experimental environment is proved,thus it has confirmed the feasibility of this method.
