Sphere Decoding Algorithms in MIMO System

Using maximum-likelihood decoding in receiver,the optimal performance can be achieved,but in MIMO system it is almost impossible to decoding with ML because of the huge receive signal space.The sphere decoding algorithms discussed in this paper can solve this problem.By reducing the number of required comparisons, the decoding complexity is reduced significantly,whereby the performance is comparable to ML detection.
