A modification method for the built-in function psd in Matlab for power spectrum density calculation

The process of calculating power spectrum density is introduced.The built-in function psd in Matlab used in engineering field wildly is analyzed in detail.Problems are found when built-in function psd is used to calculate power spectrum density of random signal.Based on such analysis a modification method is proposed.The correction of the modification method is shown by an calculating example.
