A Fast Vector Median Filtering Algorithm for Color Image

A new fast vector median filtering algorithm is proposed.Firstly,the direction region distance measure of the pixel is computed and its filtering window is divided into two sub- window in a color image,then,the vector median filtering algorithm is executed in a sub- window.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can remove impulse noise and its computation speed is much faster than the classical Vector median filtering algorithm.
