Analysis of Frequency Modulation Ranging

According to the analysis of the FM ranging theory presented in a large number of references,there are some mistakes in the theory and some serious deficiencies in the analysis of difference frequency signals.In this paper,it is concluded that the spectrums of difference frequency signals and the ranging are continuous by using triangular FM and sawtooth FM.Moreover,the irregular area for the difference frequency in sawtooth FM is proved not to exist.These two difference frequencies corresponding to the same distance are caused by the randomness of observation time.On the contrary,the irregular area assuredly exists in triangular FM.
