The Development of Empirical Methods of School Efficiency

In the view of economics,the article summarized the latest empirical studies in the field of school efficiency.At present,the researches on school efficiency mainly focus on the value-added assessment and frontier efficiency analysis.Hierarchical Linear Models(HLM),Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Approach(SFA) have received plenty of application in the two subject issues above.Besides,the paper gave a brief introduction to other two econometric techniques,neural-network-based model and homogeneous Markov chain.
