New synchronized denoising algorithm of block truncation coding

Block Truncation Coding(BTC) is an efficient technique of image compression.The existent BTC algorithms have a short-coming of poor restoration quality when the image is disturbed by noise.Pre-denoising increases the hardware complexity in real system.A synchronized denoising algorithm based on statistic is proposed,which can get rid of the disturbance of noise.The experiment shows that the new algorithm with denoising have the same restoration quality compared with the existent algorithms when there is no noise in image and it has the distinct improved quality without additional hardware compared with the existent algorithms when image is disturbed by noise.
