Research and Implementation of BootLoader Based on ARM

In order to reduce the cost of an embedded system,has studied the two main flash memories: NOR Flash and NAND Flash.NOR Flash has some limitation: e.g.complex layout,high cost,small capacity and lower accessing speed etc,so try to overcome these problems.First,compare and analyze booting mode based on ARM CPU of embedded system,then try to cut the NOR Flash chip and just boot system from NAND Flash.Finally,propose a reliable mechanism of bad block management and a new technique of loading step by step for booting system from NAND Flash.Therefore can remove NOR Flash chip and save cost.
