Sruvey on Detecting Complexes from Protein-protein Interaction Network

Protein complex consists of multiple proteins through physical interaction,which is the main form of protein to perform its biological function. Most important biological processes in the cell are performed by the protein complexes.Therefore,the accurate identification of protein complex is of great significance for understanding protein activity. Using the computational method to identify protein complexes from the protein network is one of the main directions of current bioinformatics research. This paper is to summarize related research work on computational method for the identification of protein complexes,and to discuss several directions of further research in the area.
