Algorithm of Form Image Enhancement Based on Improved Image Information Measure

This paper proposes an image enhancement method based on image information measure.Image pixels are classified by using image information measure and the edge region pixels of the image are connected together by making use of the features of the form image and the improved image information measure to make the edge pixels cover the character strokes and form lines completely.Then the image is filtered in the space field employing the edge and smoothness information to enhance image primarily.Finally,the multilevel fuzzy enhancement algorithm is imposed to enhance image contrast and achieve a better enhancement effect.Experimental results show that the algorithm can enhance the low contrast image effectively and obtain a good visual effect.
