The Memory Size Estimation of Application Programs for the SoC Task Partitioning

Memory modules dominate the cost,performance,and power of the SoC systems. It is helpful for SoC design and optimization to estimate the memory requirements of application programs. This paper puts forward a memory size estimation method with multi-granularity for the SoC tasks partitioning. Firstly,the framework of the memory size estimation of application programs is presented. Then,the memory size estimation method for application programs is proposed with basic blocks,loops and functions. Finally,a case study demonstrates the efficiency of this method.
