THE STABILITY OF LAMINAR HELICAL FLOW OF POWER--LAW FLUID IN ECCENTRIC ANNULUS

This paper aims at studying the flowing behavior problem of helical flow for power -law fluid in eccentric annulus and proposes a new theoretical method called the stabili- ty parameter H for determining the behavior of helical flow in it, and analyzes the influ- ence factors on the behavior of flow. The parameter H can be used to determine the flow form of helical flow of power-law fluid in the eccentric annulus. We think that it is not definite that the flow is turbulent in the whole flow field of helical flow of power -law fluid in eccentric annulus because of the problems of wide annulus clearance.
