The C-E Translation of Abstracts of Non-ferrous Metals Technology Papers Aided by Google Translator's Toolkit

Abstracts of research papers are the leading sources for document compilation,computer storage and retrieving for search agencies like SCI,EI and ISTP.The quality of abstracts showcases directly the level of the research and academic journals.Based on introducing the existing problems of English abstracts of non-ferrous metals technology papers,this article puts forward the translation process aided by Google Translator's Toolkit(GTT) and GTT's major functions.The English translation of a Chinese abstract is applied to analyze the application steps of GTT.The results show that the translated text aided by GTT improves the readability and general quality.
